Property Administrator / Secretary

Salary £25-30k (higher DOE), Reading - Hybrid Working – Permanent & Full-Time

An established professional services firm is looking to recruit a Property Administrator / Secretary to support a busy and collaborative property-focused team. This opportunity would suit someone with a background in property, real estate, conveyancing support, housing, or development, who enjoys organisation, coordination, and being a reliable point of support.

You do not need to come from the legal industry for this role. What matters most is your understanding of property-related processes and your ability to provide high-quality administrative support in a professional environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support a property-focused team with day-to-day administration, helping to keep matters organised and running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Preparing and formatting correspondence and documents

· Assisting with property-related paperwork and processes

· Proofreading documents and checking accuracy

· Supporting billing, invoicing, and basic finance administration

· Managing diaries, emails, and key deadlines

· Handling incoming calls and responding to enquiries

· Providing general administrative support across the team

Who This Role Is Ideal For

This role is ideal for someone who already understands the property world, even if they’ve never worked in a law firm.

You may come from backgrounds such as:

· Estate agency or lettings

· Property management or block management

· House building or development

· Conveyancing administration (legal or non-legal)

· Surveying, housing associations, or property consultancy

· Property finance or mortgage administration

What’s essential:

· Hands-on experience in a property-related role

· Strong organisational and communication skills

· Confidence managing multiple tasks and deadlines

· Good attention to detail

· Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general IT systems

· A proactive, team-oriented mindset

Experience with Land Registry, SDLT, or legal documentation is helpful but not required, as training will be provided.

Working Pattern & Flexibility

The role is primarily office-based to support the team effectively, with the expectation of being in the office most of the week. Some flexibility can be offered, reflecting the firm’s practical and people-focused approach.
