Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in our nursing home. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily living activities while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing.
* Support individuals in maintaining their hygiene and overall well-being.
* Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving around safely.
* Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each patient's needs are met.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate any changes to the healthcare team.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
* Foster a supportive environment by engaging with patients and providing companionship.
Experience
* Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
* Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification.
* Strong command of the English language is required for effective communication with patients and team members.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
* A caring attitude and the ability to empathize with patients from diverse backgrounds are crucial for success in this role.
* A candidate with medication training is preferred.
