Overview
We’re recruiting for an Electrical Assembly Technician to join a well-established engineering manufacturer in the Tamworth area. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role assembling and wiring precision-built machinery and control panels for specialist industrial applications. The position offers day shifts only, a clean and organised working environment, and the opportunity to work as part of a skilled, supportive production team.
Responsibilities
* Electrical and mechanical assembly of machinery, sub-assemblies, and components
* Control panel wiring from electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
* Building and testing of finished machines ready for dispatch
* Carrying out pneumatic installations (training can be provided)
* Inspection and quality checks on completed builds
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
* Assisting with packaging, finishing, and other workshop duties
Qualifications
* Proven experience in electro-mechanical or electrical assembly
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams
* Skilled in panel wiring, mechanical fitting, and fault-finding
* Good practical knowledge of tools, components, and workshop safety
* Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
* Team player who can also work independently
* Manual handling experience beneficial (forklift licence an advantage)
