Divisional Manager - Legal Finance & Accounting
Ambition are supporting a leading international law firm in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support financial reporting and control across UK and US entities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing period-end management accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
* Deliver monthly budget variance analysis and support budget holders with financial insights.
* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and post depreciation journals.
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support nominal bill recharges.
* Review staff expense claims and assist with US tax reporting.
* Complete quarterly and annual ONS surveys.
* Support the annual budgeting and reforecasting process.
* Assist with audit preparation and provide administrative support to the finance team.
Candidate Profile
* Strong attention to detail and understanding of financial controls.
* Proactive and organised, with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Flexible and collaborative team player.
* Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
