Live Easy Buddy (Community Aged Care Support Worker)
Add expected salary to your profile for insights
At Live Easy, we’re creating a new kind of home care service — one that feels more personal, more connected, and more human. We believe aged care should be built around real relationships, trust, and the little moments that make life better.
We’re looking for warm, thoughtful people to join us early on this journey. As a Live Easy Buddy, you won’t just deliver care — you’ll build lasting relationships and become the trusted go-to person for a small number of clients.
What does a Buddy do?
This is a blended role – part carer, part case manager, part companion. It means you might spend your morning helping someone shower and get ready for the day, pop out to the shops for groceries together, and then stay for a cup of tea and a game of Scrabble.
In the afternoon, you might coordinate with a physio to make sure they arrive on time, or help arrange for a gardener to tidy up the front yard. You’ll check in regularly with families, attend care reviews, and make sure nothing is missed.
You’re there to support, advocate and connect – making life easier, safer, and more enjoyable for older Australians who want to live independently at home.
What we’re looking for:
A kind and reliable person who genuinely enjoys supporting others
Someone who’s confident providing personal care (or open to learning)
A great communicator who can coordinate services and build trust with families
A current driver’s licence and reliable car
Experience in aged care or the NDIS is helpful, but not essential
Most of all: the right attitude – we hire for heart, not just qualifications
Be part of something early – help shape an innovative new service
Get variety in your day – companionship, care, coordination, advocacy
Work with purpose – Live Easy is part of Scalabrini, a trusted not-for-profit
Award-winning culture – Scalabrini has been named an xRef Best Workplace 3 years in a row
Genuine flexibility – part-time or full-time, built around your availability
Make a real difference – this is meaningful work, and your clients will remember you for it
This is for you if…
You’ve ever wanted to be the kind of support person you’d want for your own parent or grandparent.
You believe in slowing down, listening, and doing things properly.
You want to work in a small team that values warmth, trust, and doing what’s right.
We’d love to hear from you. Apply now and tell us why you’d make a great Live Easy Buddy.
