We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Community Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our Community Diabetes Specialist Nursing Team within Glasgow City HSCP, North East Locality.
The successful candidate will be an informed member of the diabetes team with specialist knowledge in diabetes care. Responsibilities include supporting individuals with diabetes and their families, assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating complex nursing care programs. The role involves working autonomously in nurse-led clinics and domiciliary visits, providing lifestyle advice, and supporting patients through challenging life experiences affecting their diabetes management.
Essential qualifications include current registration with the NMC and a specialist qualification in Diabetes Care. A V300 qualification or willingness to attain it is desirable. A current driving license is also preferred due to the geographical scope of the role. Membership of Disclosure Scotland’s PVG Scheme is required.
