Job Title: BISTRO/CAFE STAFF
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at The Crew Yard Café & Bistro (within Budby Antiques & Vintage Emporium) is situated in the village of Budby between Ollerton and Worksop. We serve quality, home cooked dishes from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 3.30pm (we also have occasional evening events). We have built up a good reputation especially for vegan and vegetarian meals and our customers have come to expect high standards at all times. Consequently, we are looking for special people who have good communication skills, a pleasant manner and are able to work calmly under pressure.
Duties:
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Assisting in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and assembling dishes.
- Providing excellent guest services by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any customer queries or concerns promptly.
- Utilising basic maths skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Collaborating with the kitchen/front of house team to ensure efficient service delivery and timely food preparation.
Useful Skills:
- Experience working in a restaurant or bistro environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in culinary tasks such as food handling, plating, and presentation is an advantage.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and provide support where needed.
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues effectively.
As extensive training will be given, prior catering experience is not necessary, but the successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
