Admin Assistant / Receptionist
£13.08 per hour plus company benefits.
Part‑time hours. Shifts 9am – 5pm on a 2‑week rolling rota. Week 1 – Tuesday and Wednesday; Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Role: First point of contact for visitors and callers, and provide daily administrative support to the Home Administrator. Work includes HR related duties and financial support when required.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet visitors, check identities and book visits where applicable.
- Answer telephone, respond to enquiries, redirect calls to relevant staff and record messages.
- Provide daily administrative support – predominantly HR related tasks.
- Assist with recruitment: sift CVs, arrange interviews and onboarding.
- Organise internal meetings and ensure action items are completed.
- Coordinate the staff meal process where applicable.
- Respond to any emergency situations as requested by the home.
- Maintain the tidiness of the reception area and liaise with the housekeeping team to keep standards.
Person Specification
- Excellent customer service skills.
- IT literacy – competent with systems.
- Previous telephone experience and a professional telephone manner.
- Knowledge of general administration.
- Good communication skills.
- Neat and well presented.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
