We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional to join us as a Higher Education Manager.
This pivotal role will lead, contribute to, and support the strategic development of the College's High Education portfolio, ensuring alignment with the college's ambitious 5-year strategy, as well as our regional sector priorities.
You will play a key role in enhancing and growing our HE provision by identifying opportunities for innovation, progression, and curriculum development that respond to employer and learner needs. The postholder will also represent the College at external HE-relevant sector events, building strong partnerships and promoting the College's HE offer. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will champion the development of new HE provision at NHC whilst ensuring our Higher Education provision remains responsive, high-quality, and future-focused.
This role will have responsibility for quality assurance, quality improvement, and act as the lead primary link with the University of Hertfordshire consortium. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with external regulations, support developments in teaching and learning, and maintain a consistently high-quality student experience.

Job Purpose
To lead, manage and oversee the College's Higher Education (HE) provision, ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance, quality assurance, quality improvement, regulatory compliance and student experience across all HE programmes. The postholder will act as the key liaison with the University of Hertfordshire consortium, ensuring that all partnership responsibilities, reporting and academic standards are met.
This role carries responsibility for ensuring compliance with external Higher Education regulatory frameworks and authorities, including the Office for Students (OfS), Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), awarding bodies, external examiners, and other statutory or professional regulators as required. The postholder will drive continuous improvement in line with national and sector expectations, ensuring that provision is of high quality, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of students, employers, and the wider community.
Through effective governance, monitoring and enhancement activities, the Higher Education Manager will safeguard academic standards, champion excellence in teaching and learning, and provide assurance to senior leaders, governors, consortium partners and regulators that the College's HE provision remains robust, compliant and of consistently high quality.
