ORB Recruitment Ltd have an outstanding opportunity available for an experienced Bookkeeper to work on a Part Time basis with an industry leading Construction and Facilities Management contractor in Dinnington, S25. The Role The successful candidate MUST HAVE sufficient experience working with company finances and accounts, and you will be expected to work from the clients Head Office in Dinnington, S25. Your main duties will include, but not be limited to; Invoicing Reconciling Accounts Processing Payments Staff Wages VAT Returns Maintaining updated records of Invoices & Receipts. Resolving aged debt. To be successful in this role, you must have strong financial and accounting background as you will be working with a company that specialise in Medium to Large scale construction projects throughout the UK. During the interview stage, candidates will be expected to demonstrate and explain how their experience will be compatible with the given working environment. There will also be an Admin element to this role, meaning successful candidates will be responsible for: Issuing Purchase Order Numbers to subcontractors Updating relevant PO logs Procurement of materials Insurances Training Updating staff holiday records Transferring staff wages and overtime records Key Skills In order to be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate ALL or MOST of the following: Be able to work independently and manage your own work load. Positive working attitude with a strong work ethic Minimum 5 years working with Accounts Depth of knowledge and experience using Sage Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel Experience working with Wages, VAT returns Previous experience processing CIS payments would be advantageous but not essential. Experience working in Construction is again preferred, not essential. Strong IT Skills Ability to adapt to new responsibilities and tasks Create and update bespoke systems of work to improve efficiencies within the company. Independently analyse and interpret company performance on profit and expenditure. Demonstrate reliability with a strong attendance record.
