Job Summary
We are seeking a newly qualified GP to join us under the ARRS funding scheme for 4 sessions per week (negotiable). This is an exciting opportunity for a GP at the start of their career to gain experience in a supportive and well‑structured practice environment.

Responsibilities
* Practical in accordance with accepted good medical practice and the various clinical policies of the Service, to include but not limited to
* Make yourself available for surgery, telephone, video consultations and queries, home visits, repeat prescriptions and paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
* Make professional, autonomous decisions about presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health‑care workers within or outside the organisation
* Assess health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
* Contribute to QOF, Enhanced Services and IIF requirements and record data appropriately
* Develop care plans for health‑related illnesses in line with disease‑management protocols
* Screen patients for health education
* Admit and discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate
* Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
* Collect data for audit purposes and contribute to the Practice audit programme
* Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand‑written prescriptions whenever possible)
* Prescribe in accordance with the accepted prescribing formulary (or generically) where clinically appropriate
* Take a lead role in governance, QOF, enhanced services, CPD and keeping clinical protocols up to date
* Undertake all normal GP duties as set by the Royal College of General Practitioners, GMC, other Royal Colleges, Department of Health, NHS England, ICB and other regulatory bodies
* Maintain quality within the practice, alert team members to quality and risk issues, assess own performance, contribute to improvement and manage time, workload and resources
* Prescribe safely and effectively in line with NICE guidance, DH directives, BNF, Controlled Drugs legislation, shared protocols and prescribing incentive scheme targets
* Support the complaints policy and follow up appropriately
* Contribute to service development, policy compliance, lifelong learning and audit
* Attend training events, team meetings and other necessary meetings
* Protect patient confidentiality, adhere to privacy and data‑protection policies
* Implement health & safety and infection control policies, conduct risk assessments, maintain clean work areas and manage hazards
* Support equality, diversity and rights of patients and colleagues, respecting privacy and dignity
* Participate in personal and professional development programmes, annual performance reviews and continuous learning
* Communicate effectively with team members, patients, carers and alternative communication methods as needed
