Smart Education is working in partnership with a supportive and well-resourced alternative SEN provision in Hartlepool, and we're recruiting for a resilient, dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team.This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students aged 11–16 who face a range of social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, including SEMH, ADHD, MLD, and BESD (Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties).You won’t just be supporting learning—you’ll be helping young people gain the skills, confidence, and emotional resilience they need to move forward in life.
What You'll Be Doing:Delivering one-to-one and group support in the classroom, focusing on both academic and emotional developmentImplementing behaviour and learning strategies under the guidance of teaching staff and SENCOsCreating a safe, structured, and nurturing space where students feel heard and supportedEncouraging students to build independence, social skills, and a positive attitude towards learning
