Production Operator General Assembly Basildon Location: Basildon Hours: 37 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday rotational shifts Were Talent Media, working in partnership with a key player in the precision engineering industry. Were on the lookout for a hands-on Production Operator to join the General Assembly team and help create components that go out into the world with precision, quality, and pride. The Role: You'll be responsible for assembling, measuring, documenting, repairing, and supporting production to deliver high-quality components on time. Youll be using a range of tools, keeping your workspace audit-ready, and working as part of a wider supportive team. Youll Be Doing Things Like: Building and assembling components to tight deadlines Following work instructions, assembly drawings, and H&S procedures Using calibrated tools, meters, and fixtures Logging your work clearly and accurately Reworking or repairing non-conforming products Keeping your work area clean and organised Pitching in as needed you're a team player after all What Youll Bring: Great hand skills and experience using hand tools Confidence reading and following technical drawings Solid attention to detail nothing gets past you Previous assembly experience (especially on small parts) Awareness of lean manufacturing and 5S (a bonus!)
