Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher Location: Tickhill, DN11 Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time Are you a creative and innovative Design Technology Teacher ready to inspire students and help them bring their ideas to life? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join schools in the Tickhill (DN11) area. This is an exciting opportunity to engage students in practical and theoretical aspects of DT, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills across a variety of projects. Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in areas such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Engineering. Develop students’ practical skills while reinforcing health and safety in the workshop. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level assessments, ensuring they achieve their academic targets. Inspire creativity and innovative thinking in a supportive learning environment. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress. Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate. Requirements for Design Technology Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach DT across Key Stages is desirable. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to fostering a safe and productive environment for practical work. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
