Job Purpose
Reporting to an Operations Manager, the primary responsibility of the role is to lead and deliver O&M services to offshore renewable energy assets. Principal services include work on assets in the North-West and East coasts of England, but services may also be delivered in other locations. Assets include offshore meteorological masts, wind turbines, OFTO assets including onshore and offshore substations, foundations and export cables. We ensure that these services are delivered safely and in accordance with contractual standards and specifications. Organisational Context You will be the focal point for project delivery and responsible for the planning and delivery of the day to day activities required to provide the agreed services. This is a client facing role and requires regular communication with RES’ clients and external contractors. You will work closely with the Offshore and UK&I O&M teams as well as other RES departments including HSE, Technical and Engineering. Key Accountabilities
1. Support the Offshore team in the delivery of operation and maintenance services, including but not limited to:
2. Handling the onshore and offshore scheduled work (planning and delivery phases)
3. Preparing budgets and contract variations, tracking budgets and invoicing o Producing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
4. Procurement of 3rd party services, tools and equipment
5. Running and/or carrying out work including:
6. Inspection and planned maintenance of onshore and offshore assets
7. Reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical elements
8. Creation of reports to issue to client
9. Competency and skills to:
10. Project manage planned and reactive offshore activities
11. Lead an onshore/offshore team in the execution of the work
12. Plan maintenance services involving difficult access
13. Ability to maintain and fault find within data logging and communication systems
14. On-Call: you are expected to participate in a call out rota to provide emergency response outside of normal working hours.
15. The role also includes the following department responsibilities:
16. Support the production and review of procedures, processes and technical literature
17. Draft and/or provide inputs into proposals and related cost books
18. Assist with the management & control of both client owned and Offshore department tools, equipment and PPE
Knowledge
19. Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
20. Experience with data logging and communication systems
21. LV & mechanical fault-finding and analysis
22. Knowledge of wind turbines and related equipment
23. Knowledge of balance of plant applicable to offshore wind farms
24. Knowledge of HV systems
25. Knowledge of HV safety rules
26. Awareness of working at height and within a confined space

Qualifications
38. An HND in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent qualification, but background in technical discipline
39. GWO Training (desirable, however full training will be given)
40. IRATA or rigging qualification (desirable)
41. Hold a full driving licence
