JOB SUMMARY
The Group Finance Director will have operational jurisdiction over the Group's financial and risk management factors.
Working alongside the Board and Global Executive Team the Group Finance Director will help to shape and determine an overall strategic direction for the Group based on financial recommendations relating to budget management, cost benefit analysis, and forecasting needs.
KEY DUTIES
* Optimise the Group’s financial performance and strategic position.
* Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
* Participate in developing new business specifically in assisting the Group CEO in identifying new funding opportunities; the drafting of prospective budgets; and assessing the financial benefits and cost effectiveness of prospective contracts.
* Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out & reviewed.
* Responsible for the company cash management policies.
* Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the financial assets of the Group and oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all compliance issues are met.
* Present monthly accounts and other KPI's to the Board and the annual audited accounts.
* Ensure that all regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
* Manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions.
* Lead, mentor and develop the Group Finance team.
* Liaise with external tax advisors and ensure that Corporate Direct and Indirect Tax liabilities are managed and controlled.
* Responsible for managing relationships with overseas subsidiary Finance teams, develop group reporting and accounting processes and ensure high quality consolidated group reporting throughout the financial year.
* Improve and where necessary implement new financial reporting systems and best practice financial control.
HOURS OF WORK
Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm
REQUIREMENTS
* 10+ years exposure to a senior leadership finance role.
* Qualified chartered accountant – ACCA or ACA.
* Proven leadership and team motivation & coaching skills.
* Outstanding numerical skills.
* Knowledge of SAGE accounting software.
* Good working understanding of UK Corporate Tax Legislation and practice (Direct and Indirect Tax).
* Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
