An exciting fixed term opportunity has arisen to become an Children's Services Administrator based at Withernsea Children's Centre.
The role presents a unique opportunity to join an ambitious service in a key role working towards delivering high quality services for children, young people, and their families.
The Family Help service provides additional support to children, young people, and families. This may be whole family support, addressing the individual needs of children and young people or providing advice and more general support through telephone or group-based activities. The service is based across the East Riding with teams based in Children's Centres, locality hubs or centrally in County Hall, Beverley. This post is being advertised on a fixed term basis due to a pending reorganisation.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to providing a quality service, have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. To undertake this role successfully you need to be customer focused, able to work easily within a challenging environment, have excellent administrative and organisational skills and have the motivation and desire to achieve a high-quality service. You should be able to demonstrate effective use of a range of ICT systems/software packages.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential as this role is often the first point of contact for parents, professionals, and the public.
A high level of customer service is required as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive material. Teamwork plays a vital role as does the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own initiative.

The East Riding has 18 Children's Centre that offer a range of activities and services for children and their families to give every child the best start in life. We offer the right help at the right time so that families feel confident, safe, healthy and happy.
Day to day work can be varied but mainly around administrative support. Main tasks within this team including dealing with families and professionals visiting the centre, room bookings, entering data onto the Estart system, updating spreadsheets, fulfilling postal requirements, answering phones. There is a financial aspect within this team in which orders need to be raised, goods receipted, invoices processed etc and other adhoc requests. There is the potential for a minute taking aspect within this role but training can be provided.
