Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Senior Document Controller on a permanent basis in Bristol and Epsom.
We are seeking a Senior Document Controller with extensive industrial experience to join our team, reporting to the Head of Document Control. This critical role involves delivering document control services, supporting stakeholders, and implementing project-specific IM requirements. The Senior Document Controller will also handle Systems Administration tasks and support IM at the project level.
Additionally, the role includes training and communication within the Nuclear. The successful candidate will support the development the Document Control team and provide guidance to the information management team, delivery teams, projects, programmes and clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the document control team, providing training and support on document control processes, while coordinating medium to large-scale projects.
Develop and implement document control policies and procedures, establishing and maintaining document management plans, and enhancing processes and workflows within the IM team and broader delivery teams.
Ensure compliance with company standards and ISO 19650, maintaining the integrity and security of all documents, and combining responsibilities of a Document Control Lead and Systems Administrator.
Manage document versions, revisions, and oversee the distribution and tracking of documents, ensuring familiarity with the roles of Digital/BIM Lead, BIM Manager, and CAD Manager.
Register and capture documents in the EDMS, including client and subcontractor documentation, and manage archiving, closeout, and handover at project completion.
Oversee the management of the Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure proper information flow and compliance with ISO 19650, utilizing internal IM and digital services to exceed client expectations.
Utilize ProjectWise for document management and develop document control workflows to streamline document handling, review, and approval processes.
Prepare reports and documentation for audits, providing daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.Behaviours:

Several years in document control, ideally within the nuclear sector or heavy industries.
Proven track record managing document control processes and systems.
Extensive experience with EDMS like Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum, and ProjectWise.
Ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
