What you’ll do As a KONE Doors Business Apprentice Engineer, you’ll gain real, practical experience, including: Hands-on learning: Shadowing and working alongside experienced engineers on-site Maintenance & installation: Supporting the maintenance, repairs or installation of industrial and pedestrian doors, gates and barriers Servicing & fault finding: Learning how to diagnose and resolve technical issues Customer interaction: Working professionally with customers and site contacts No two days are the same — and every day you’ll be learning something new. Practical information Working Week: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. Hours of work: 37 per week. Duration: 42 months. Start date: 7th of September 2026. Level and qualification: L3 Engineering maintenance technician Apprenticeship standard, NOCN NVQ2, DHF Level 2 Award, ADSA - EN16005, ADSA - EN17352 Salary: starting at £17534.02, with annual increases subject to performance. Training is work‑based, primarily at customer sites, so you must be prepared to travel. Travel to and from customer sites takes place outside standard working hours.
