Position - Mechanical Supervisor
Location - Wilton, Redcar
Project -Shutdown
Duration - 4 Weeks
Start - 15th September 2025
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
* Oversee and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities during the shutdown
* Develop and implement detailed work plans and schedules for mechanical teams
* Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations
* Conduct daily safety briefings and site inspections
* Manage and direct a team of mechanical technicians and craftspeople
* Perform quality control checks and documentation
* Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical solutions
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
* Coordinate with other discipline supervisors to ensure smooth project execution
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications for Internal Candidates
Experience
* Proven experience in shutdown management and team leadership
* Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance techniques
* Comprehensive understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work flexible shifts and in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Fitting
* Previous experience in Teesside industrial sites
* Certifications in advanced mechanical maintenance or shutdown management
* Familiarity with advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance technologies
Technical Skills:
* Proficient in mechanical system diagnostics
* Understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance strategies
* Experience with complex industrial equipment maintenance
* Competent in using maintenance management software and documentation systems
