Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking resilient and committed Behaviour Support Assistants to join one of various SEN Schools in Herne Bay that cater for children with mental health needs. The Role Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis with needs including SEMH - mental health needs Managing and de-escalating behavioural incidents with confidence and professionalism. Able to work with a therapeutic, holistic approach Be calm and not be fazed by challenging behaviour Building positive relationships with pupils who may have experienced trauma, exclusion, or unstable home environments. Working closely with Teachers, SLT, and external agencies to support student progress and wellbeing. Participating in relevant CPD, including Behaviour Management and Trauma-Informed Practice training. Requirements Prior experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or working in a pastoral/intervention setting is highly desirable.
