We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our AMP8 team at our Finham, Coventry office. You will be accountable for delivering key projects across a portfolio of large capital engineering and construction projects within Severn Trent’s Capital and Commercial Services, specifically aligned to WINEP. You’ll work with a team of Assistant Project Managers and other professionals, reporting to the Lead Project Manager.
You will be responsible for managing project risks, providing financial updates, and ensuring commercial controls are maintained throughout the life of the programme, while defining appropriate products, standards and timescales to deliver on time and within budget. The programmes aim to improve river health and deliver environmental benefits including enhanced biodiversity and aquatic life.
Responsibilities
* Deliver key capital engineering and construction projects within Severn Trent’s Capital and Commercial Services portfolio, aligned to WINEP.
* Manage project risks, provide financial updates, and maintain commercial controls throughout the project lifecycle.
* Define appropriate products, standards and timescales to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
* Collaborate with a team of Assistant Project Managers and other professionals; report to the Lead Project Manager.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Ideally qualified in a technical engineering or construction-related discipline.
* Contractual management experience; exposure to NEC project management framework is an asset.
* Experience in utilities and/or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
* Demonstrated leadership with excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Strong ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and drive continuous improvement; able to anticipate issues and adapt as needed.
* Full UK driving licence due to remote locations of some sites and projects.
