Freelance Trainer

Commitment: Project-based and Flexible

Reporting to: Programmes Manager

Fee: £150 – £600 per day (based on experience)

Location: Remote (with occasional in-person delivery)


Key Responsibilities

* Programme Design:
o Develop training curricula tailored to the needs of different programme levels (pre-startup, startup, scaling, and high-growth).
o Ensure alignment with DiNN’s evidence‑based methodologies and goals.
o Incorporate best practices in adult learning, professional education, and inclusive pedagogy.
* Training Delivery:
o Facilitate engaging, interactive sessions (virtual and in‑person).
o Use a variety of training methods (workshops, case studies, action learning, simulations) to ensure knowledge retention and practical application.
o Create a safe, inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
* Evaluation and Feedback:
o Measure learning outcomes through post‑session evaluations and participant feedback.
o Adapt and improve session content based on evaluation data and participant needs.
* Collaborative Engagement:
o Work with the Programme Manager and other trainers to ensure cohesive content delivery.
o Share insights and lessons learned to inform programme improvements.

o Board recruitment and management.

* Operational Excellence:
o Impact measurement and reporting.
o Safeguarding, HR, and compliance.
o Digital transformation and data utilisation.
* Community and Advocacy:
o Racial justice leadership and systems change.
o Advocacy, influencing, and storytelling for impact.
o Community‑building and collaboration.
* Wellbeing and Inclusion:
o Mental health and resilience for leaders.
o Diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.
* Sector‑Specific Training:
o Arts, culture, sports, and faith‑based leadership.
o Financial inclusion and social enterprise management.
o Environmental sustainability in organisational practices.


Essential Skills And Experience

* Training Expertise:
o Proven experience in designing and delivering professional training sessions (5+ years preferred).
o Familiarity with adult learning theories and education best practices.
* Subject Matter Knowledge:
o Expertise in one or more of the areas listed above.
o Awareness of challenges faced by Black‑led and Global Majority organisations is a strong advantage.
* Facilitation Skills:
o Ability to deliver engaging, accessible, and practical training to diverse participants.
o Skilled in managing group dynamics and encouraging active participation.
* Technical Skills:
o Proficiency with digital training tools (Zoom, online whiteboards, learning management systems).
o Capability to develop high‑quality training materials and resources.

* Creative problem‑solving and adaptability to meet unique participant needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be engaged as an independent contractor and will not be considered an employee or worker of Do it Now Now (DiNN). Consequently, no employment rights or benefits, such as holiday pay, sick leave, pensions, or other entitlements associated with employment, will be provided. The freelancer will retain responsibility for their own tax obligations, National Insurance contributions, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations as an independent contractor. The freelancer will not be directed or controlled on how they deliver their work beyond agreeing on the required outcomes and ensuring alignment with the terms of the contract and project objectives. This relationship is strictly that of a service provider and client.
