Your new company is an award-winning civil, structural, environmental, and transport planning consultancy with 100 employees across 5 UK office locations. They are involved with projects of every size, across all sectors, delivering imaginative, integrated design solutions from concept to completion.
Your company is located in the heart of Liverpool city centre and has grown significantly since establishing their Liverpool office 2 years ago. They aim to develop a reliable, exciting, and autonomous client base within the region. Having made a fantastic start, they are now looking to further strengthen their civils team following a move into a more spacious, modern office.
Your new role
You will work closely with the Principal Engineer and Civil Engineering graduate, as well as the Structural Engineering team. Your responsibilities will include conceptual and detailed design through various RIBA stages and overall project delivery, supported by the surrounding team on a diverse range of projects across commercial, residential, education, Ministry of Justice, and industrial sectors.
As you progress, developing commercial awareness and client relationship management skills will be important. As the civil design team expands, mentoring and checking the work of fellow engineers and technicians will become key responsibilities.
What you'll need to succeed
* A minimum of a BEng in Civil Engineering and 3+ years' UK design consultancy experience.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D/PDS, Info/Microdrainage; there is scope for skill development in these areas.
* Experience with Section Agreements 278, 38, 104, and 185.
* A hands-on approach and a desire to stay engaged in design, project management, and delivery.
* Good organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
