We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedCivil Sales Manager to lead the Civil Sales team, drive business growth, and help achieve ambitious sales and gross profit targets.
Overview
Role: Civil Sales Manager – lead the Civil Sales team, drive revenue, and support the achievement of targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector.
Responsibilities
* Drive sales performance and meet revenue targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
* Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market share
* Collaborate with internal teams and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction
* Provide accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects to support competitive tenders
* Lead the bid and tendering process, ensuring alignment with client needs and company standards
* Support business development by identifying market trends and strategic opportunities
* Maintain expert knowledge of civil engineering products and solutions
* Prepare and deliver quotes, bids, and proposals in response to client inquiries
* Lead contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms
* Provide post-sale support and resolve client issues promptly
* Report regularly on sales performance, market insights, and forecasts
* Lead, motivate, and train the Civil Sales team to achieve goals
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and reliable service
* Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
* Deputise for the Head of Sales & Marketing when required
Essential Criteria
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experience
* Minimum 3 years’ management experience leading sales teams
* Strong background in sales and estimating within civil engineering or construction
* Ability to read technical drawings and bar schedules
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
* Proven leadership and team management capabilities
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
