Job Description Summary
As the Sr. Staff Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing our advanced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions across component and assembly shops. You will collaborate with GE Aerospace shops, stakeholders, and blueprint owners to implement enhancements, manage EVM/CMMC requirements, and oversee product upgrades and patches.
You will serve as a key liaison, ensuring seamless communication between shops, functional teams, implementation squads, and support operations. Your goal will be to align diverse stakeholder perspectives, including Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Service Owners, and Developers, to improve manufacturing processes and drive innovation. Role Responsibilities
1. Demonstrate expertise in MES products and manufacturing industry, supporting legacy system replacement.
2. Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, refine products, and collect feedback.
3. Manage MES solutions deployed at GE sites in Europe, ensuring technical ownership and service excellence.
4. Deepen understanding of the technology stack and its influence on the final product.
5. Coordinate go-live activities, hyper-care, and transition to operations with implementation and support teams.
6. Make informed decisions, reflect on outcomes, and strive for continuous improvement.
7. Prioritize and coordinate changes, upgrades, and patches with relevant teams.
8. Handle CMDB/ServiceNow responsibilities, including cybersecurity and data classification.
9. Support operational activities related to cybersecurity, disaster recovery, EVM, and infrastructure support.
10. Stay informed on industry trends, demonstrate business acumen, and serve as an internal product expert.
11. Conduct stakeholder interviews to assess product vitality and stability.
12. Engage with the development team regularly (50% of the time) to facilitate discussions and design decisions.
13. Communicate effectively to align customers, product managers, and engineering teams.
14. Anticipate downstream impacts and tailor strategies for positive outcomes.
Education Qualification
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in digital manufacturing transformation. Military experience counts.
Desired Skills
* Deep knowledge of smart factory and manufacturing processes.
* Experience with MES implementation and production optimization (preferred).
* Strong understanding of software design and coding principles.
* Experience in Agile environments.
