Teaching Personnel is looking for a committed SEN Support Assistant to work across a dynamic specialist SEN school in Ystrad Mynach, supporting pupils aged 3–19. This is a school where no two days are the same — and that’s exactly what makes it so rewarding!

What You’ll Do
• Offering personalised 1:1 and small-group support, tailored to each pupil’s individual needs
• Moving between classes and age groups with confidence and adaptability
• Using effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
• Assisting with personal care, mobility, and sensory regulation where required
• Encouraging emotional wellbeing, engagement, and independence
• Working closely with teachers and support staff to maintain a safe, consistent, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)
To demonstrate your commitment to working in education, you must either hold or be prepared to apply for the following:
* Must be 18 or over
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
* Level 2 Safeguarding training
* At least two professional references covering 24 months of employment
