Data Analyst – Barclays Private Bank & Wealth Management
Join us as a Data Analyst for Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management, where you will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights to support strategic decision‑making. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to analyse large datasets, identify trends and patterns, and ensure data is effectively mapped and translated into meaningful insights that drive business value.
The role will include analysing and interpreting large and complex datasets, working with stakeholders to gather requirements and map data, supporting data modelling and the delivery of insight‑driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform detailed analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative sources; document data sources and methodologies and recommend improvements.
* Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
* Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
* Create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools, and automate reporting processes for regular and ad‑hoc stakeholder needs.
* Collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions to advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and drive operational effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
* Data mapping and data modelling with the ability to translate business requirements into structured data solutions using diverse and complex datasets.
* Strong SQL skills and/or other programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and advanced MS Excel.
* Knowledge of Financial Services data domains and journeys.
* Experience with data governance including data quality controls.
* Stakeholder management experience with good communication skills to present complex topics to senior audiences.
* Experience with visualisation tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView) to create reports and dashboards.
