We're looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchens in Swindon. This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hours across 5 days, including weekends) at a prestigious co-educational boarding school. As a Chef de Partie, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional food experiences. Your main duties will include:
Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in preparation and cooking of all food items
Setting up and maintaining counters to the school's high standards
Reporting equipment issues or resource needs to the Head Chef or Store Manager
Assisting with events and contributing to menu planning and development
Maintaining hygiene standards and compliance with health & safety regulations
Cleaning and deep-cleaning kitchen areas and equipment as required
Following school policies on uniform, break times, and customer interactionsWhat we're looking for:
We're seeking a reliable and skilled Chef or Cook with:
Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 1 & 2, or equivalent experience)
Experience in a similar kitchen role and use of kitchen machinery
Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work calmly under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain attention to detail
Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach
