What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the development and delivery of high-quality Physics teaching across all Key Stages, including A Level.
* Supporting the Head of Science in managing the department and deputise when required.
* Driving curriculum innovation and ensuring schemes of work meet national standards and school priorities.
* Monitoring assessment, recording, and reporting to secure outstanding student progress.
* Mentoring and supporting colleagues, including ECTs and trainee teachers.
* Contributing to enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, trips, and competitions.
* Playing a key role in departmental development planning and resource management.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
* A well-qualified Physics specialist with Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching across Key Stages, including Key Stage 5.
* Experienced in raising attainment and leading departmental initiatives.
* Skilled in curriculum planning, assessment, and data analysis.
* Able to inspire and support colleagues, fostering a culture of high expectations.
* Committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding.
* Organised, reflective, and enthusiastic about professional growth.
