As a Development Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective administration and smooth operation of our Revenues and Benefits IT systems. Your responsibilities will include maintaining daily system reports, supporting system upgrades, audits, statistical returns, and processing Discretionary Housing Payments.
About you
You should have in-depth knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax legislation and be familiar with the NEC Revenues and Benefits system. The successful candidate will:
1. Be able to interpret and make decisions by applying legislation and guidance appropriately, fairly, and consistently.
2. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
3. Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate a proactive and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
4. Be capable of working independently and collaboratively across teams.
5. Have a keen eye for detail in providing accurate statistical and reporting data.
