As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll work full-time across a range of schools in your area, gaining valuable classroom experience while supporting students’ learning and development. About the Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining a positive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively, and ensuring continuity of education. This role offers an excellent pathway into teaching or other educational careers, making it ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with classroom experience seeking full-time stability. Key Responsibilities Deliver and supervise pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups. Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive, productive learning environment. Support students with their learning, answering questions and encouraging participation. Liaise with teaching staff to ensure seamless lesson delivery and continuity. Provide feedback to teachers on lesson coverage and student engagement. Assist with general school duties and wider activities as required. Maintain effective communication with placement schools and Teaching Personnel. Qualifications & Experience A degree in any subject (or equivalent qualification). Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Confidence in managing classrooms and maintaining discipline. Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to daily school life. A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting students.
