Job title: Support Worker
Location: Melrose, Roxburghshire, TD6
Pay rate: between £12.21 - £16.72 per hour

We're looking for a caring individual who is passionate about delivering person centred support and can make a positive impact in the lives of those we support.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the service you are deployed to will depend on the responsibilities of your role, you could be involved in some of the following tasks:
Supporting individuals living within a shared home with limited /nonverbal communication and, who may present with challenging behaviours and have health care needs requiring a high level of care and support.
Administration of medication, PEG care and epilepsy management, personal care, assisting with mobility using appropriate equipment and managing individual's health care needs.
Supporting the individuals to engage in daily living activities, supporting with personal care, administering medication, preparing meals, general housekeeping, budget management and support to attend medical appointments
There is a variety of shift patterns available, including waking night cover, evenings only, weekends only etc. Shift patterns will be discussed in more detail during the interview
Personal Care: Assist clients with washing, dressing, and personal hygiene while upholding their dignity and privacy.
Daily Living Skills: Help with household chores such as cleaning and laundry, meal preparation, and managing budgets and bills.
Emotional Support: Provide a listening ear and emotional support to clients and their families and encourage social inclusion through hobbies and community activities.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs, incident reports, and care plans.
Support Worker Requirements:
To be eligible for this role you must be registered with SSSC
Be available to cover night shift
Be qualified to at least SVQ (Scottish equivalent to NVQ) Level II or ideally SVQ Level III as you will be assisting administration of medication
Training you will need - due to it being complex care - PEG Training, Epilepsy training, Meds trained
