Job Overview
Assistant Psychologist – Secure Ward, Cygnet Hospital, Stevenage. Full time, Monday through Friday 08:00–16:00, 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications
* Completed a degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
* Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society
* Experience in health care and/or an Assistant Psychologist role, preferably in forensic services
* Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
* Ability to work independently, safely and ethically within agreed limits
Responsibilities
* Administer and report psychometric assessments and outcome measures
* Develop clinical and risk formulations, safety plans
* Develop and implement care plans for psychological interventions
* Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group treatment programmes
* Support the development of Positive Behaviour Support plans
* Perform administration, audit, research and service development activities
* Contribute to training and support of staff
Career Development
