About The College/Department
The College of Science and Engineering hosts STEM disciplines essential to the UK’s Industrial Strategy. Engineering at Derby aims to deliver an outstanding learning experience, expand research capacity, increase industry engagement, and meet targets for REF and KEF. The discipline area is located in the STEM annex at Markeaton Street, with ongoing investments in instrumentation, robotics, renewable energy, power engineering and advanced manufacturing. It maintains an active applied research agenda and strong knowledge exchange with industry.
About The Role
We are seeking a enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This role contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and supports the development of a new degree apprenticeship in electro-mechanical engineering, with a focus on Power Engineering. Responsibilities include delivering innovative teaching, engaging with employers to align provision with industry needs, and developing shared modules across engineering programmes. You will have opportunities to conduct impactful research, collaborate across disciplines, and work with industry partners on new initiatives and knowledge exchange. As part of a TEF Gold institution, you will help shape the next generation of engineers and contribute to REF and KEF.”
