We’re looking for a Children’s Worker to join our Care and Support team at our Derbyshire WISH Project, delivering high-quality services to tenants and their children aged 0–16. You’ll plan and lead engaging activities, provide emotional and practical support, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. This is a community-based role, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential. No two days will be the same, so if you like variety this may be the ideal role for you! As a Children’s Worker: You will be responsible for organising, planning, and supervising a range of engaging activities for children aged 0–16, while providing both practical and emotional support to them and their parents. You’ll support families by offering practical help and emotional guidance, and you’ll create and review individual support plans tailored to each child’s needs. You’ll work closely within the team to deliver a high-quality service, keep accurate records, and make sure the environment is safe for everyone. You’ll also carry out risk assessments for activities and attend safeguarding meetings when needed. Please see the attached role profile for a full overview. What We’re Looking For Level 3 NVQ in Childcare/Play, NNEB or equivalent (or working towards). Experience in childcare or play work. Knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.
