Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Plumber/Gas engineer to join one of our market leading gas contarctors team in the Milton Keynes area. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and the necessary Gas qualifications, with a passion for delivering high-quality service in Social Housing.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Service and maintain unvented hot water cylinders in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Part G of the Building Regulations.\n\n * \n\n Carry out safety checks, including inspection of pressure relief valves, temperature & pressure relief valves, and discharge pipework.\n\n * \n\n Test and re-pressurise expansion vessels/air gaps as required.\n\n * \n\n Clean strainers and filters to maintain system performance.\n\n * \n\n Check and test immersion heaters, thermostats, and high-limit cut-outs.\n\n * \n\n Diagnose and repair faults, replacing components with manufacturer-approved parts.\n\n * \n\n Commission new or replacement cylinders, complete all required documentation, and hand over to customers.\n\n * \n\n Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety standards and in line with current legislation\n\nRequirements:\n\n * NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent)\n\n * Gas qualifications (e.g., Gas Safe registered or in the process of becoming qualified)\n\n * Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and materials\n\n * Previous experience working in plumbing and gas roles is essential\n\n * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities\n\n * Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach\n\n * Full UK driving license
