Mobile HGV / Plant Engineer Vacancy in Berkshire!
Our client is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV / Plant Engineer to join their expanding team. This role focuses on maintaining a mixed fleet of over 100 vehicles, including HGVs, road sweepers, and specialist plant equipment.

Responsibilities
* Conduct maintenance and repairs on HGVs and plant machinery, including chassis and bodywork.
* Service a diverse fleet of approximately 100 vehicles, mainly HGVs and plant equipment.
* Carry out inspections and diagnostics to identify faults and recommend repairs.
* Perform routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines.
* Work on vehicles such as road sweepers and other specialised machinery.
* Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
* Document maintenance and repairs accurately.
* Assist in training less experienced engineers when needed.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Mobile HGV / Plant Engineer or in a similar role.
* Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and vehicle systems.
* Experience working on HGVs and plant machinery, including road sweepers.
* NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification is advantageous; time‑served candidates also considered.
* UK driving licence; HGV Class 2 licence preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work scheduled hours, including early starts and one day every other weekend.
* Willingness to undertake ongoing training and qualifications.
