Responsibilities
* Lead a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities, prioritise deliveries, organise the warehouse and replenish shelves.
* Run a full store operation independently during the overnight shift, ensuring safety and well‑being of colleagues.
* Ensure that store standards are brilliant each morning so we are ready to serve customers.
* People management: manage performance and capability, conduct disciplinaries, and ensure scheduling and pay are accurate.
* Operate confidently in the absence of senior management and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations.
* Lead operations and be comfortable doing this alone in the absence of more senior managers.
Qualifications
* Previous line‑management responsibilities in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
* Resilience to deal with both the mental and physical demands of working nights.
* Experience delivering and monitoring KPIs or other performance indicators.
* Ability to manage disciplinaries, performance issues, or other employee‑relations issues.
* Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs – sales, availability, customer satisfaction, or colleague engagement.
* Has managed employee‑relations issues, including performance and absence management.
* Desirable: prior night‑shift experience in a high‑volume, operational environment.
Pay and Hours
Our night‑shift managers work full‑time hours over four nights and receive a £4,500 premium on top of the base salary. Shifts typically run from 22:00 until 08:00. Salary will be dependent upon your experience, the store size, complexity and location.
