On completing your apprenticeship, you will secure a full-time permanent position as a Service Technician here at Konecranes.

On the completion of your apprenticeship, you will have achieved*:
SVQ PERFORMING ENGINEERING OPERATIONS LEVEL 2 (ELECTRICAL) (SCQF LEVEL 5)
NC ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (SCQF LEVEL 5) FT
Diploma in Engineering SCQF Level 7 (Asset Lifecycle and Maintenance)
Year 1 – full time attendance at a local college or training provider (off the job training)
Year 2 and 3 (on the job training with additional training at our Banbury Centre).
First principles relating to the operation and maintenance of appropriate electrical and mechanical plant equipment, such as motors, switchgear, cables & conductors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, pipework, integrated electromechanical power, and control systems.
Relevant industry health and safety standards, regulations, and environmental and regulatory requirements
The relevant engineering including electrical theories and principles relative to the role of a Service Technician
Or equivalent qualifications depending on the course the training provider or college offers.
Minimum 17 years old entry age on the first day of your apprenticeship, 24th August 2026
A minimum of 5 X Scottish National 5, grade C (or equivalent) or above including the following subjects – Maths, English and a Science
You must be able to travel to a designated college in your area, this can be up to an hour away.
You must live local/within commuting distance (30 miles) of the Branch location.
By the end of the first year of your apprenticeship, you must have passed your driving test (manual test)
