What We're Looking For

* Strong sales and commercial employment history. Ideally working with branded hotels.
* Experience representing MICE and corporate hotel offerings.
* Experience leading proactive sales efforts across multiple hotel sites.
* Natural company ambassador, able to confidently represent the business in professional settings.
* Competent with a variety of commercial systems; Delphi experience ideal.
* Acute financial awareness, able to contribute to budgeting and strategy processes.
* Ability to multitask and manage priorities across stakeholders and brands.

Day In The Life Of

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading proactive sales efforts for the hotel across local and national opportunities. The role entails identifying, securing, and maintaining revenue-generating business, with a network across multiple industries. The Director will lead proactive sales dialogue with potential clients and secure business in line with annual sales targets and commercial strategies. The role covers all revenue streams including rooms, food & beverage, and MICE. You will line-manage the on-property Meeting and Events Sales team and report directly to the Group Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain a comprehensive database of sales activity (Delphi) and ensure revenue-generating activity is repeated; review and adjust unsuccessful strategies.
* Attend weekly and monthly commercial strategy meetings and lead where appropriate.
* Act as a Company ambassador, pursuing commercial opportunities (client appointments, show-rounds, fam trips, group hospitality events, networking, social media, exhibitions, etc.).
* Execute the full proactive sales journey: identify, secure, and maintain revenue-generating business; take accountability for securing and contracting business.
* Educate hotel departments, encourage sales awareness, and foster a one-team culture to maximise revenue opportunities.
* Monitor brand and Company audits for proactive sales (e.g., mystery guest reports, QA visits, test calls).
