To be considered for the role of Deputy Nursery Manager you will have:
* A minimum of a Level 3 Childcare related qualification
* GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014)
* Previous Early Year Management or Leadership experience
* Excellent knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED frameworks
About the nursery:
The nursery is part of a small group of nurseries, having provided friendly and professional childcare services for almost three decades. The facility is ideal for the care and learning goals of three months to eight years of age, registered for 120 places.
The school is divided into three care groups according to age, following a free flow 'learning through play' curriculum, that allows children to have access to their own garden spaces.
Each group has a room leader who oversees the running of the group and each child has a Key Worker who has overall responsibility for that child's learning and development.
The role of a Deputy Nursery Manager within the Nursery involves:
* Deputising for the Manager in their absence
* Assisting with the day to day running of the Nursery
* Assisting with training and carrying out staff appraisals
* Keeping accurate records for both children and members of staff
* Leading daily and weekly meeting, alongside the management team
* Ensuring the Nursery is compliant with internal and external policies and procedures
* Developing good relationships with the Nursery team and external agencies
* Ensuring the highest level of care is being delivered
* Being responsible for a number of key children as when needed
* Ensuring there are good staffing levels and when needed assist with the recruitment process
