About the Position
We are looking for a highly organised, driven and forward-thinking Operations Manager to join the High Performance team and help to ensure the smooth running of the business at an exciting time of rapid development. You will lead core business functions across IT, Legal & HR, ensuring our systems, people, and processes are secure, efficient, and set up to deliver exceptional results. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, driving operational excellence and supporting the business to scale effectively. This role would suit an experienced Operations Manager or EA who thrives in a fast moving business.
HR & People
Build and maintain a motivated, high-performing team through strong people processes and a positive culture.
* Manage end-to-end recruitment, from writing job descriptions and adverts to managing applications and issuing contracts.
* Lead onboarding and offboarding, including inductions, system set-up, access management, exit interviews, and equipment returns. Maintain secure personnel files (contracts, training, performance), manage leave and absence records, and update HR policies.
* Lead the quarterly KPI process, collect culture scores and ensure SMT have what they need to communicate their team strategy
* Develop a Learning & Development programme, supporting managers in delivery.
* Handle employee relations, including grievances, disciplinaries, and disputes, ensuring issues are managed fairly and in line with legislation. Escalating issues to senior management where necessary
* Support managers with probation - ensure staff are on Happl/LTIP paperwork
* Oversee monthly team day planning and any team events throughout the year (xmas)
* Manage L&D plan for Team leaders and staff
* Manage pension scheme relationship externally
* Coordinate monthly payroll changes and approvals
IT & Office
Lead technology and systems to ensure the business is secure, efficient, and equipped to perform at a high level.
* Manage staff onboarding/offboarding processes (accounts, passwords, permissions) and ensure security best practices are followed.
* Oversee hardware inventory (laptops, studio equipment), organising repairs, replacements, or upgrades as needed.
* Ensure systems meet data protection regulations, keeping policies up to date and training staff to follow them.
* Drive process improvement through technology, leading the rollout and training for new tools.
* Maintain software licenses, renewals, and access permissions.
* Manage Monday.com to make sure individuals have access and system issues are dealt with - liaise with monday.com build support as required to update and make improvements.
* Be the contact for FORA (Our office space), resolving issues and supporting contract renewal.
* Manage secure platforms such as JumpCloud and Avast
Legal & Compliance
Protect the business by ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory obligations.
* Support with creation and reviewing of corporate, partnership, release forms, and new show contracts.
* Maintain company-wide insurance policies.
* Coordinate health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring policies are updated annually.
* Manage People & Operations budget, ensuring spend comes within budget and flagging overspend in monthly finance meetings
* Be the contact between HP and our solicitors for contracts.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE – REQUIRED
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
* Ability to work unsupervised, resolving problems, making sound decisions and knowing when to refer upwards.
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadline in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent PC skills, particularly Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
* Experience of reacting to constant changes in priorities and reorganising workload to meet changing deadlines.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
