The Role
As Attendance & Family Liaison Officer, you will lead on monitoring, tracking and improving pupil attendance across the school. You will use data effectively to identify patterns of absence, support families and implement targeted interventions where needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring daily attendance and following up on absences promptly
* Identifying trends in persistent absence and implementing action plans
* Conducting home visits where appropriate
* Working closely with families to remove barriers to attendance
* Liaising with the local authority and education welfare services
* Supporting safeguarding referrals where necessary
* Maintaining accurate attendance records and reporting to senior leaders
You will also support wider pastoral initiatives, contributing to early help meetings and safeguarding discussions.
