This is an outstanding opportunity to join my client, a highly-regarded, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy known for lending their expertise to projects across the Engineering and Environmental landscapes. They are actively seeking an experienced, capable Principal Hydraulic Modeller who is willing to take on a challenging array of projects across a variety of sectors, based near the historic, maritime city of Plymouth.

Responsibilities for the role of Principal Hydraulic Modeller include:
7. Manage a team of high-performing colleagues in the delivery of a variety of projects
8. Managing and auditing projects and productivity rates
9. Producing hydraulic models, as well as supervising, checking, and verifying other colleagues’ models and surveys
10. Analysing and interpreting data using a variety of software systems, to prepare/check/publish reports
11. Supervising generation of plans utilising MapInfo
12. Managing client and stakeholder relations
13. Representing the company at various site visits and other meetings
14. Flexibly managing a varied selection of projects
15. Managing costs, resources, and project delivery
16. Adhering to and enforcing industry standards, regulations, and the appropriate health and safety measures at all times
Required skills and experience for the role of Principal Hydraulic Modeller include:
17. A Degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
18. Extensive experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK consultancy (or Local Authority) setting
19. Experience of wastewater modelling
20. Outstanding proficiency in InfoWorks ICM (1D and 2D), and other relevant software packages
21. Demonstrable experience of having managed both people and projects
22. Experience of managing client/stakeholder relations
23. Full, valid UK driving licence
24. Chartered Status/membership of an appropriate, recognised professional body
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal Hydraulic Modeller include:
25. Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
26. Excellent working knowledge of a range of other software systems used within the flood risk, drainage, and hydrology sectors
