About The Role
Shift Pattern – Monday to Friday, occasional weekend, out of hours cover, public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Access Control
* Monitor and manage entry and exit points.
* Verify ID badges, visitor passes, and contractor authorisation.
* Prevent unauthorised access.
* Maintain accurate visitor logs.
Customer Service
* Greet visitors and provide directions or assistance; all visitors will be searched.
* Handle enquiries courteously and professionally.
* Coordinate with reception staff or building management.
Monitoring & Patrols
* Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify risks.
* Monitor CCTV systems (if part of role).
* Report hazards, maintenance issues, and suspicious behaviour.
Incident Response
* Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies.
* Follow site‑specific incident response procedures.
* Provide clear communication to control rooms or emergency services.
Safety & Compliance
* Enforce health and safety protocols, including fire safety procedures.
* Assist during evacuations or building lockdowns.
* Conduct security checks on bags, deliveries, or vehicles (if required).
Conflict Management
* De‑escalate tense situations using effective communication.
* Manage difficult or aggressive individuals professionally.
* Record incidents accurately for follow‑up or investigation.
Reporting & Documentation
* Write detailed incident reports.
* Complete daily occurrence logs.
* Communicate issues to supervisors or facilities/security management.
