Our industry truly is fascinating and has the variety factor, giving you the opportunity as a Class 1 Full-Time Car Transporter Driver within the ELV Car Transporter team to meet new customers on a regular basis. What you will be doing: As the Class 1 Full-Time Car Transporter Driver for European Metal Recycling, you will assume responsibility for operating a Multideck 26t car transporter. Your duties will involve transporting various vehicles between our sites and customer locations. This is a role requiring physical effort for vehicle loading. Please do not be discouraged if you have no transporter experience. For the correct candidate we offer full training and ongoing training throughout your career. This role is based out of our ChurchBridge Oldbury Depot. This role is currently a Monday to Friday daily role however on occasion, requiring tramping/nights out. These will be preplanned. Travel expenses are reimbursed in line with company policy and are subject to limitations. At EMR group Ltd, we prioritise Health and Safety, providing comprehensive training for each vehicle before deployment. This is a Full-Time role demanding a 45-hour work week, ensuring consistent engagement and activity. Please do not be discouraged if you have no transporter experience. You will need to: Hold a HGV Class 1 (CAT C E) licence Take a methodical approach to work Be patient, able to work unsupervised, and stay calm under pressure Have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, and provide a high level of customer service Be able to follow instructions, and know when to discuss changes to plans with your line manager Be a good communicator, and be able to avoid conflict Be able to recognise/anticipate hazardous situations and react accordingly
