Our brilliant Weybridge store is looking to expand its team.
The start date would ideally be as soon as possible or 1.07.2026.
What are the working hours/days?
5 days per week (42 hours), includes working weekends and bank holidays
Who are we looking for?
1. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in all areas of fishkeeping. Some previous experience in aquatics is preferred but not essential, as you will be joining an experienced team and will be given full training. Enthusiasm for the hobby and a strong commitment to customer service.
2. They should be self-motivated, positive, and organised, as well as hardworking and enthusiastic to learn.
3. The person we are looking for should be a practical individual who is keen to be part of a strong, happy team of staff who enjoy their vocational careers.
4. Some fishkeeping experience is essential, but not required
What does the role involve?
5. Aiding in the day-to-day maintenance of the store, including caring for the wide variety of livestock that we carry and serving customers.
6. Delivery of excellent standards of livestock care and store presentation.
7. Greeting and welcoming all our customers in an articulate, approachable, and friendly manner to maintain our high standards of customer care
8. Communicate your fishkeeping knowledge clearly to customers with varying levels of experience and maintain our policy of responsible fishkeeping.
9. Working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
10. Completing sales correctly and efficiently, ensuring customers leave the store fully satisfied.
11. Getting merchandise out onto the shop floor, organising stock neatly on the shelves and making sure it's correctly priced and available.
