Class 1 Driver (Nights)
Location: Avonmouth. Salary: £48,805.52.
Working Hours
12‑hour night shifts, 48 hours per week (Sunday – Thursday).
About DS Smith Logistics
DS Smith Logistics operates a large fleet of Class 1 HGVs with curtain‑side trailers, delivering and collecting products across the UK from four depots. Safety is paramount; we use industry‑leading fleet equipment and technology and provide bespoke training, including free in‑house 1‑to‑1 DCPC courses.
Responsibilities
* Transport paper materials to various UK locations or collect raw materials from customer sites and return them to your home depot.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
* Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a safe, efficient, and responsible approach.
* Adhere to a flexible and can‑do attitude, handling duties with good attention to detail.
* Ensure travel time to and from the site (BS110YB) does not exceed 45 minutes, in compliance with driving safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Valid Category Class1 driver’s licence.
* Valid DCPC certificate.
* Valid Digital Tacho card.
* Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
