Chroma is working with a tech-driven cybersecurity and networking company thats looking for a
Network Engineer
to join their team. Offering
up to £60K
and
hybrid working
(3 days on-site at their office near Sheffield), this is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the forefront of technological innovation in
hardware-based cyber defence, both in the UK and globally.
As a
Network Engineer,
youll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting secure network environments for global proof-of-concepts, customer deployments, and internal R&D. From configuring Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet devices to setting up test labs, deploying encryption hardware, and solving complex Layer 2/3 issues - youll be hands-on across a range of exciting projects. You'll also work closely with the engineering team to feed in real-world insights and help shape the product.

Key Skills:
Hands-on experience with network devices eg.
Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Juniper
Strong understanding of networking technologies including
VLAN, SD-WAN, and
Firewalls
In-depth knowledge of networking at a low level, including
routing protocols
(e.g. OSPF, BGP)
An
enthusiastic and driven individual
with a genuine interest in networking and cybersecurity
Desirable Skills:
Experience integrating
encryption hardware
Knowledge of
Python, Bash, or Ansible
for network automation
Relevant certifications such as
CCNP, JNCIS, or NSE4
